Mission

Bringing Hope, Restoring Dignity

Our mission is to restore hope and dignity to the underserved and vulnerable.

God’s heart has always been for the poor, the vulnerable and broken. Those who are treated unjustly. Those who are oppressed and lost hope for the future. And many of those people live in the Middle East. Within underserved communities which often lack access to the most basic privileges such as education, food or human rights. Our heart and vision is to restore hope and dignity by showing them the heart of God and serving them in what they need.

Who We Are

Albayt Ministries – Welcoming everyone

As a US registered 501(c)(3) organization, based in the Middle East, Albayt Ministries Inc. operates across four core areas: community development centers, family aid, team training, and anti-trafficking initiatives. Much of our impact is attributed to our dedicated and international staff. Together with local and volunteer staff, we foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere within our operating facilities.

The meaning of our name “Al-bayt” means “home” in Arabic. A healthy home is a place of refuge and safety. A place of belonging and hope. Where we are nurtured. Where we learn together and grow together as a family. And want to invite others in to have the same experience. To be this place to refugees, the poor and trafficked is what we are committed to.

What follows are the four core areas of our ministry in more detail

Community

Transforming Communities through Education

Aylah Community Centers

The vision of our two community development centers is to provide educational opportunities for the whole family and build loving relationships that changes lives and transform communities. These centers receive ongoing collaboration from international volunteers, churches, and national partners, allowing them to remain operational and responsive to community needs. They primarily serve refugees from Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, focusing on practical education, skill-building, and holistic development. Furthermore, the centers facilitate meaningful community engagement and spiritual discussions within a predominantly Muslim population.

Family

Bringing Hope and Help to vulnerable Families

Family Aid

Through the Family Aid division, our organization addresses the needs of vulnerable families – providing resources such as food, medical assistance and other vital support. Yet our goal is not just handing out the aid but to get to know the families, listen to their stories and build loving relationships through which we seek to bring a holistic transformation to their lives.

Training

Serving Together

Teams

Albayt Ministries offers training programs for teams that seek to serve both refugee and underserved communities. Giving them a cultural understanding and a variety of useful tools we equip them to make a lasting and sustainable impact in the Middle East. Albayt Ministries welcomes teams from all over the world to serve beside them.

Justice

Every Woman Free

Set Captives Free

“Set Captives Free” functions under the auspices of Albayt Ministries Inc., focusing on anti-human trafficking and prison outreach, with the mission “Every Woman Free.” Our vision is to help female domestic workers who have been trafficked, abused, exploited and imprisoned. The program provides comprehensive advocacy and support—such as legal assistance, hygiene supplies, travel arrangements, and aftercare—for migrant women in custody, facilitating repatriation and preventing further exploitation. Established in 2019, the initiative currently operates in three Middle Eastern countries, aided by a network of approximately 20 international volunteers.

A Notable Success Story

From refugees to center managers

Katherine and Khader, who, after fleeing the Syrian conflict a decade ago arrived in a neighboring country without basic necessities, received support through church connections and later the Mafraq Aylah Center. Their engagement led to greater involvement, and they eventually managed the Mafraq center for two years before returning to Syria. Albayt Ministries now seeks to extend its services into Syria through a new initiative supporting Katherine and Khader’s efforts.
